The Colorado Rockies (37-37) will visit the Bronx for a three game series starting tomorrow at 7pm. The Rockies sit 3.5 games back in the "not-so-anemic-as-usual" NL West. New York will send Burnett, Sabathia, and Nova to the mound.
Rain is in the forecast for Friday night's game and a delay or rainout is possible. Despite the fan appeal of interleague play, poor weather throws a monkey-wrench in the plans since the teams will never see each other again in 2011 (except maybe for the World Series). Therefore, doubleheaders, like the Yanks experienced on Wednesday are common. Should tomorrow night's game against Colorado get rained out, the two teams would need to play a double header on Saturday or Sunday to make it up, or face trying to find a mutual time to make up the game at a later date. The good news is that Saturday and Sunday's weather looks fantastic!
